#03 HOW TO USE THE RULE OF THIRDS (in composition)
The rule of thirds is one of the most important principles of composition, which is very helpful to balance and make your composition much more interesting.
Whats a good frame or a good composition? When you look through the viewfinder you basically divide the frame in 9 equal parts with vertical and horizontal lines, and the intersections are your four points of interest. Postitioning the elements of your photography on these points will make your composition more atractive.
The 4 lines (2 vertical, 2 horizontal) can also be used to improve your composition, especially on landscapes, if you position your horizon over the horizontal lines.
Its proven that most people look to these areas before they look to the center, so this rule helps you to avoid positioning your subject in the center putting them over the lines or on these 4 points of interest. When shooting people, try to put your subject's eye on the interest points and your picture will look more atractive. As a result, using these quick tips will make your footage look more natural, balanced and pleasant to the eye. Don't forget, rules are made to be broken, so feel free to express your creativity and try other compositions.
